This year I am running the Manchester Marathon in support of Charity Link Leicester. Any donations no matter how large or small are greatly appreciated and will help Charity Link continue the great work they do.

We believe that all local people deserve a decent standard of living, with a right to adequate food, shelter and the means to keep warm, clean and rested – no matter what difficulty they may be facing. We do this by finding funding to provide the essential items that everyone deserves.

We can’t do this without the vital support of our donors. Every £10 donated unlocks £50 from charitable trusts and every single penny goes to helping local people and children in need, which means:

£15 – will help to feed a family for a week

£20 – will help to heat a home for two weeks

£35 – will provide a bed for a child in need

£65 – will provide a cooker for a family in need

£200 – will help a family moving on from homelessness
