Story
2026 is the year that I'll complete my first marathon!! 🥴
As some of you may have seen, this year I have chanelled and dedicated my spare time and energy into prioritising my fitness and mental health by running.
After completing several half marathons, I have decided my next challenge is to run a full marathon. Being a Northerner, I've chose to run the Manchester Marathon, in April 2026.
I have selected the North West Air Ambulance as my charity of choice. This is a personal charity to myself and family, and played a pivotal part in the care for my Grandad.
Without charitable donations then the service would not be able to run. It requires £18 million a year!!
As part of my fundraising, I will be completing a series of runs in fancy dress (all evidence will be photograph and recorded).
Lucy and Lola will also be participating in the fundraising events (they just don't know this yet)!!
Can I please ask for your donations to support such a fantastic charity that impacts thousands of lives each year.
Matt
The North West Air Ambulance Charitys helicopters and rapid response vehicles operate 365 days a year, with highly skilled specialist doctors and Critical Care Paramedics on board providing enhanced pre-hospital care and hospital transfers to patients across the entire North West region each year an area covering 5,500 square miles and over 8 million people. Since it launched in 1999, the charity has been called to over 45,000 missions across the region, with the service called out an average of three times a day. Just as many critically injured patients would not survive without the service that the charity provides, the North West Air Ambulance would not be here without the support of its community of fundraisers and partners.
