Story
In 2011, my Gran, Joan Daly, passed away after several years living with Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD). CBD is a rare and devastating neurological condition in which brain cells gradually die in areas responsible for movement, coordination, and cognition.
CBD affects around 5 in every 100,000 people and there is currently no cure or treatment to slow its progression.
I’m running the 2026 London Marathon to raise awareness of this little-known disease and to raise vital funds for PSPA which is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by CBD and related conditions. PSPA supports families, funds research, and works towards finding a cure.
Please join me in supporting this cause by donating whatever you can or by sharing this page. Together we can make a difference to the lives of those affected by CBD.
Thanks for your support,
Matthew
