It is with great regret that I have to report that this event has been cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions caused by Storm Amy .

This is a massive shame given the training I have done. To ensure you all get your ‘value for donations’ I shall be arranging an equivalent 50mile hike over the next few weekends once I have made arrangements!

My teammates a I are massively disappointed, but the conditions do appear rather challenging!

Thank you all for your support. I’ve been truly overwhelmed at everyone’s generosity so will definitely be doing this!

“Fifty at 50”

Having turned 50 last year, a group of friends suggested we complete the Long Mynd Challenge. This is a gruelling 24hr, 50 mile hike over the rugged countryside of South Shropshire and the Welsh Marches, with about 8,000 feet of climbing covering eight summits. To increase the challenge, the majority is done at night!

To motivate me on this endeavour, I am seeking to raise funds for my Livery Company Charity. This does amazing work providing mobility and access to sport for disabled people and disabled ex-servicemen and ex-servicewomen.

Supporting me on this massive challenge will not only drive me to reach my potential, but will also help others achieve theirs!
