Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page to raise funds for the current disaster in Turkey & Syria.

On Sunday 19th February I am running in the Tunbridge Wells Half Marathon and would value your sponsorship for the disaster relief work in Turkey and Syria.

More than 30,000 people have lost their lives. Whole towns have been flattened. Tens of thousands of people whose homes have been destroyed are now at the mercy of a freezing winter.

As part of the Disasters Emergency Committee – a group of humanitarian agencies – Tearfund has launched an emergency appeal. Their church partner in Syria is providing vital supplies such as warm clothing, nourishing food and hygiene essentials. But the need is vast – your support will make a crucial difference.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
