On July 20th I will embark on an extraordinary challenge: walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks not once, but TWICE in a single day. That’s over 77 km and more than 10,000 ft of vertical ascent to raise funds for the "British Transplant Games Leeds Children's Team". Every penny raised will directly support children and young people who have received organ or bone marrow transplants, enabling them to compete in the British Transplant Games held in Oxford later this year.

Having worked closely with these brave families, I have witnessed firsthand the highs and lows of their transplant journeys. The three peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough symbolize these ups and downs. As I walk, the families will be in my thoughts, inspiring me to push through every step.

The second part of my challenge represents those patients who have faced complications during their transplant journey—those who may need a second, third, or even fourth transplant. While the typical goal for completing the Yorkshire Three Peaks is within 12 hours, I am setting an ambitious target to finish both laps within 16 hours, starting at 7:00 AM.

The Transplant Games offer a wonderful opportunity for children, young people, and their families to come together and celebrate the gift of life from their donors. Your support can help create lasting memories for these families—experiences they will cherish for years to come.
