Story
I was due to run the Great North Run in Newcastle this Sunday; however, about five weeks ago, I hurt my back, which put me on the sidelines for a number of weeks. As the weeks have gone on, I’ve slowly got myself moving and feel like I’m finally ready to go again.
I wasn’t planning on doing this race; however, after the heartbreak from this week, I feel I need to.
Frank was suffering and never showed it; he thought of me and, using his inner strength, carried on not to worry his family. He tried until he couldn’t hide the pain.
Frank may be gone, but his strength and love will never leave me. I’m going to race this half marathon, and it’s going to hurt. But if Frank can get through the hurt, so can I!
We’re supporting the National Pugs Protection Trust, who are a charity that focuses on rescuing, protecting, adopting, and helping pugs who are not as fortunate as Frank.
They work with Cuppa Pug, which is a pug café located in London, where I always wanted to take him.
If you couldn’t donate anything, that would be amazing.
Love you, Frank
