I'm raising money for and also hopefully raising awareness of our amazing mountain rescue team Holme valley and the work that we do. We cover much of west Yorkshire up to the edge of leeds and turn out all weathers all times to help anybody in need. Mountain rescue isn't just about mountains, in my 7 years in the team we've been to help runners ( including spineys), mountain bikers, walkers, teenagers, sheep stuck on cliffs and helped look for and reunite vulnerable missing people with their loved ones. It's an absolute privilege to help the people of west Yorkshire and I hope putting out teams name in the spotlight makes people think about the work we do, consider offering us support or get involved with our team by giving some time.

It costs the team over 50,000 a year to stay operational and as we have zero funding from government so all money has to be raised via donation and grants. Any donation however small will go straight to the team and will help keep us operational.

The event isn't new to me but I hope to do it justice give dot watchers some entertainment. I think this will be my last foray along the Pennine way until I can find the time for the full spine so enjoy the dot whilst you can.

108 miles up the Pennine way from Edale to Hardraw. Hope to finish Sunday evening.
