Story
This September, I am setting out on a life-changing journey, walking the entire 148-mile (237 km) Thames Path, from Kemble in Gloucestershire to Hampton Court Palace in Surrey, England, for two weeks.
Why I’m Walking
I’m taking on this challenge to raise awareness and support for Rainbow’s End, a project of El Shaddai Charitable Trust that is very close to my heart.
Rainbow’s End is more than just a hostel. It’s a safe home for young girls who dream of a brighter future. Many of them come from fragile and difficult backgrounds, where education often feels out of reach. Here, they find more than a roof over their heads. They find safety, encouragement, and the kind of love and support every child deserves.
Your support can help give these girls what every child should have: a sense of belonging, emotional security, and the chance to stand tall and chase their dreams. Together, we can help them step out of the cycle of poverty and into a future filled with hope.
The Thames has historically been a route of connection, trade, and transformation, much like the mission of this project—to connect caring people like you to girls who need a future full of hope. The river flows through some of England’s most culturally rich and historically significant areas, reminding us how even long, winding paths can lead to lasting change.
