Matthew's fundraiser for Wintercomfort For The Homeless

Matthew Mckeague is raising money for Wintercomfort For The Homeless

Cambridge Half Marathon 2025 · 9 March 2025 ·

All funds raised by our wonderful runners in the 2025 Cambridge Half Marathon will support Wintercomfort's vital work with homeless and vulnerably housed people in Cambridge.

Story

Since 1991, Wintercomfort have been at the forefront of support for homeless and vulnerably housed people in Cambridge.

Sadly, as the cost-of-living crisis continues to affect us all, the number of homeless people in Cambridge is at its highest for many years. You can read John's story to see how homelessness is now affecting many more people as a result of the housing crisis https://wintercomfort.org.uk/stories/johns-story/.

Open every day of the year, we provide hot meals, showers, laundry facilities, clothing and healthcare for rough sleepers. We also provide an extensive range of specialist advice and support to empower people to achieve long-lasting, positive change in their lives. We help people to access housing and employment, offer counselling and therapy, support for people working to overcome addiction, education and training programmes, dedicated support for homeless women and a range of activities aimed at building self-confidence and social inclusion.

Your support will help us to continue our vital work to help to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable people within our community.

To raise funds for WinterComfort, I’m taking part in the sleepout at Cambridge United’s Stadium on 28th February and running the Cambridge Half Marathon on Sunday 9th March. Please give what you can to help Wintercomfort’s vital work!
