Story
3,000 km for MNDA – 2026
In 2025, my wife’s headteacher was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). Seeing first-hand the impact this devastating illness has had on her, her family, and those around her has been incredibly difficult. At the same time, I’ve witnessed the strength, kindness, and support shown by the wider community — and it’s inspired me to do my part.
In 2026, I’m taking on a personal endurance challenge to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA), a charity that provides vital support, care, and research for people living with MND and their families.

The Challenge
Across 2026, I aim to complete 3,000 kilometres of walking, jogging, and running.
This will include:
• A 100 km ultra-marathon in the Lake District (June 2026)
• Additional endurance and long-distance events
• Consistent day-to-day training throughout the year
This challenge isn’t about speed — it’s about consistency, resilience, and turning up, even on the tough days.
What does 3,000 km look like?
To put it into perspective:
• 🗺 Over 3× the length of the UK (Land’s End to John o’ Groats)
• 🏃 Around 71 marathons
• 🚶 10 km a day for 300 days
• 🏔 Equivalent to 30 × 100 km ultra-runs
Every step counts.
Fundraising Goal
My target is to raise £2,000 for MNDA. Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund essential support services and research into this cruel disease.
If you’re able to donate, share, or even join me for a few kilometres along the way, I’d be incredibly grateful.
Thank you for your support 💙
