This year I will be taking part in the Lake District Challenge, 50km Ultra Marathon to raise money for Parkinsons UK.

My beloved Nan (Nanny Jean) was diagnosed with Parkinsons a few years ago and very sadly passed away on 17th April after a cruel and long battle with the disease. I never knew how horrendous this disease could be and how much of an impact it can have on peoples lives. It's truly devestating what it does to the human body. Currently there is no cure. The more money I can help raise, then hopefully the nearer we get to a cure and an advance in treatment to improve the quality of life for those suffering like my nan.
