In a moment of weakness, I agreed to walk across hot coals... Apparently, 700 degree hot coals...

In all seriousness, on 2 November 2023, I'll be one of 100 firewalkers walking across the hot coals in support of We Love MCR and to raise money for Manchester's communities and young people.

We Love MCR is a great charity whose work gives heart, hope and opportunity to those it supports. It does this by:

- Empowering Manchester's unbeatable communities to improve the lives of people in their neighbourhoods with the Stronger Communities Fund.

- through its unique Manchester's Rising Stars Fund, changing the lives of ambitious young Mancunians who face barriers due to disadvantage.

- Being ready when Manchester needs it most, like with the Covid-19 Community Response Fund when it distributed £1million to 300+ groups on the frontline of the crisis, including food banks + domestic violence shelters.
