Matthew's fundraiser for Aberdeen Foyer

Matthew Thomson is raising money for Aberdeen Foyer

Trek up Kilimanjaro · 3 June 2026

Aberdeen Foyer helps young people and adults overcome homelessness, poverty, and social barriers. Through safe housing, education, employability training, counselling and wellbeing support, we empower people to grow, succeed, and lead fulfilling lives. Building brighter futures together.

Story

At Aberdeen Foyer, we believe in the power of transformation. Every year, we support over 1,900 individuals in North East Scotland on their journey towards independent living, learning, and meaningful work. Our mission is to create positive and lasting change by standing alongside those facing tough life challenges. We work tirelessly to address and prevent the root causes of poverty and youth homelessness within our local communities in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

As I prepare for my personal trek up Kilimanjaro on June 3rd, 2026, I am reminded of the mountains that many individuals must climb in their daily lives. The challenges they face can feel insurmountable, but with your support, we can provide the necessary resources to help them overcome these obstacles. Through our joined-up services—offering supported housing, learning opportunities, training programs, counselling, employment support, and health improvement—we empower individuals to rise above their circumstances.

I invite you to join me in this journey of hope and resilience. Together, we can raise £1,000 to further enhance the vital services provided by Aberdeen Foyer. Your contribution will not only help us continue our work but will also inspire those we serve to reach new heights in their lives. Let’s make a difference together!
