Kicks Count is the UK's leading baby movement awareness campaign. Empowering mums-to-be with knowledge and confidence, we provide information on why baby's movements matter, preventing stillbirth and saving precious lives.

Story

31 January 2026 marks 10 years since my partner Gemma and I lost our beautiful baby daughter, Lily, who was born sleeping at 37 weeks.

On Saturday 11 July 2026, I will be taking on an endurance event featuring 5 mile loops around Newnham Park in Plymouth for 12 hours (9am - 9pm). People will be challenging themselves to see how many laps they can complete during this time. I am targeting an ambitious 12 laps (60 miles in total).

Following our loss in 2016, Gemma and I organised a 37 hour charity football marathon, with all proceeds going to Kicks Count. The event was fantastically supported by all friends, family and the local community and raised over £20,000 for this small, but important charity. To then mark Lily's 5 year anniversary I completed a single 37 mile run from Crediton to Exmouth and back, which raised over £3,000 for Kicks Count.

Help support a small charity on a big mission. Kicks Count empower pregnant women with information about why their baby's movements matter. Something so simple, yet it saves precious lives.

It's easy to look at baby loss statistics as just numbers. They certainly make for an uncomfortable read. We can't ignore that the numbers are babies. As much as stillbirth is uncomfortable and upsetting to read about, it's so much harder to live through.

Help stamp out stillbirth, donate what you can to my fundraiser today.
