Matthew’s fundraiser for Louie's Trust

BEACONS WAY ULTRA 100 MILES · 26 July 2025
I’m taking on a huge personal challenge — a 100-mile race across the Brecon Beacons mountains, climbing over 6,143 metres of elevation in under 40 hours. It’s going to be physically and emotionally demanding, but every step is for an incredible cause.
I’m raising money for Louie’s Trust, a charity set up in memory of Louie — created by his family to support others going through long hospital stays, no matter their child’s condition or circumstances.
When our son Jasper had to undergo a bone marrow transplant for a rare blood disorder, we spent 5 months in Newcastle. Louie’s Trust supported us during that time with practical, financial help and reassurance when things were tough. Their support genuinely helped ease the pressure during a challenging period.
You can read more about our journey on his Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/share/19GrUvDzGj/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Now, I want to give something back — to honour Louie’s memory and help ensure more families continue to receive that same warmth and support when they need it most.
Every donation means the world. Thank you so much for your kindness and encouragement
