Matt's fundraiser for Multiple Sclerosis Society

Matthew Randall is raising money for Multiple Sclerosis Society

London Marathon 2026 · 26 April 2026 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Multiple sclerosis has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.

My mum lived with an aggressive form of MS throughout my childhood—slowly losing mobility until she became wheelchair-bound and eventually dying . My step-mum also lives with MS, and although it’s managed, it affects her day-to-day life in ways most people never see.

More recently, a friend, and opening bowler for Crakehall Cricket Club was diagnosed too.

MS isn’t rare. It isn’t distant. It’s right here in the lives of people I care about.

As a keen runner, I’ve somehow never raised money through my running… and I’ve also never had the chance to run the London Marathon.

Until now.

(And yes—this is how I managed to get a place! 😂)

I’m running the 2026 London Marathon for the MS Society, but that’s only the start of what I’ve got lined up for next year.

In March, members of the Crakehall Cricket Team and I will be taking on a 26-mile walk between local cricket clubs, complete with an overnight camp.

Then in July, I’ll be attempting the Lakeland 100—a 105-mile race around the Lake District, starting and finishing in Coniston. After completing the 50-mile version this summer, this is a huge step up… and exactly the kind of challenge worth dedicating to a cause that means this much.

MS affects people I love. It affects people in our community. And every donation helps fund research, support, and the hope of better treatments—and one day, a cure.

If you’re able to support my fundraising, it would mean the world.

Thank you ❤️
