Most of us have been affected in one way or another by cancer, some more than others, but in each case a hard journey to make it through and overcome.

A very close friend recently went through a difficult battle, and not being much older than myself, it was a hard feeling for us all to come to terms with. We knew from the beginning that this person was strong and would give it everything they had, and with the help of the MacMillan team they fought through and eventually received the positive news we were all eager for.

This wasn't the first time MacMillan helped someone I cared very much for, and when the opportunity came up for me and the gang to raise some money in support, we jumped at it. We will therefore be walking 26 miles along the South Coast, from Brighton to Eastbourne to raise money and awareness for MacMillan.

Fingers crossed the weather will be good (but not too good..) and it'll be a a hot and sunny day, hiking over to Seven Sisters.
