Having suffered the devastating loss of twins during pregnancy this is a charity exceptionally close to our hearts.

The loss of a child at any time is an indescribable pain, losing one in a manner which is unexplainable I found as barrier to processing grief.

Sadly little is often known as to what can cause children to pass so early and research in this space doesn't reach the levels of some of the larger charities in the UK.

So if you can spare a couple of pound that will go a mile, and in return I'll be walking up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) on a midnight walk with colleagues from work on behalf of Sands. The hope being that sun rise over Wales as we reach the summit will bring us a little closer to heaven for that brief moment.

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
