As many of you will know, Matt had struggled with Schizophrenia for much of his adult life. Although he had received treatment for his illness, there was still so much that wasn't understood. We hope that more research into the causes and treatments of illnesses like Matt's will improve quality and outcome of life for others in a situation like his.

Mental Health Research UK are the first UK charity dedicated to funding research into the causes of and cures for mental illnesses.
