Story
Hello everyone,
Last year, so many of you very generously supported me when I ran the London Marathon for Havens. I never expected the response I got, and I’m hugely grateful to everyone who donated, shared or sent encouragement.
Somehow (and somewhat surprisingly), I was successful in the ballot again this year so on 26 April I’ll be lining up to run the Marathon once more. Given the support previously, it feel right to keep the fundraising going for Havens, a charity that means an enormous amount to me and my family.
This year, the timing feels especially significant. 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of my mum passing away at Haven, almost to the day of the marathon itself. Combined with running for Matt last year, that milestone makes this year’s run a particularly meaningful one. Havens cared for my mum and brother at the end of their lives, and the compassion, dignity and support they provide to patients and families stays with us long after.
So I’m putting the running shoes back on and asking, once again, for your support - whether through a donation, a share, or just some encouragement on the day. Every contribution helps Havens continue the incredible work they do for people when they need it the most.
Thank you so much for reading and for any support you’re able to give.

Havens provided extraordinary care and compassion to Matt and his family during the most difficult time in early 2024. Their unwavering support left a lasting impact — and now, we’re committed to giving back.
To continue offering their vital services, Havens must raise £124,000 every single week. That’s why every event, every donation, and every bit of support matters.
We know times are tough, and many of you have already given so generously — thank you. ❤️ But if you’re able to contribute again, no matter how small, it truly helps Havens continue to provide comfort, dignity, and care to families when they need it most.
Let’s keep the momentum going - together, we can make a difference. 💫
In loving memory of Matt, thank you x
