Story

I am creating this justgiving page following the very sudden and tragic passing of the love of my life and long-term girlfriend Miss Daisy May Catterall, we have relationship history dating back to our school days and have been together the majority of my adult life, not once could I imagine a future without her.

Daisy passed away from a very rare and harmful autoimmune disease called HLH (Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis), this she devastatingly developed off the back of virus which triggered her immune system into self-destruct mode therefore causing vital organ failure. Even whilst suffering with this illness she remained her usual beautiful, bubbly, loving and optimistic self.

After her eventual HLH diagnosis on Friday the 21st of February her situation very quickly deteriorated, the speed of which this disease accelerates meant we lost her on the morning of Saturday the 22nd of February. Her body was doing its absolute best to fight this horrible disease however there was nothing she, us or the doctors could do to prevent the inevitable.

Being just 25 years of age and a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and partner, we are cut very deep and are all heartbroken. Following this tragedy we will be raising as much money as possible for the University College London Hospitals Charity UK, all funds raised will go directly into funding research behind HLH and will help any future patients who find themselves in her same unfortunate position. We hope by taking a positive approach and fundraising will give us some sort of comfort through this extremely difficult time.

I will be taking on these 2 challenges with one goal… that goal being to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charity, to contribute to sculpting the future of HLH and to do my Dazzler proud.

No matter how big or small any donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance and I wish you all a happy and healthy future, please remember that today is a blessing and tomorrow is a mystery.
