Running 100km for the Greatest Gift I’ve Ever Received

On 24th October 2026, I’ll be taking on the biggest challenge of my life: running 100km from Bamburgh Castle to Tynemouth Priory.

This challenge marks eight years since my life-saving bone marrow transplant.

After multiple relapses with Hodgkin lymphoma, my only chance of survival was a bone marrow transplant.

My survival depended on a complete stranger making one selfless decision. Thankfully, someone in Germany had joined the stem cell register and turned out to be my perfect 10/10 match. Because of their incredible act of kindness, I was given a second chance at life.

That one decision has allowed me to experience so much I never thought I’d get the chance to do. I’ve travelled the world, made unforgettable memories, built a life I love, and now I have the opportunity to take on a challenge like this.

I’m not running 100km because I have to.

I’m running because I can.

Every mile is a thank you to the person who saved my life, and every donation will help DKMS continue their incredible work, giving more people the same chance I was given.

My goal is to raise £8,000 to mark my 8-year transplant anniversary. It’s an ambitious target, but I believe that together we can get there.
