Story
I founded a project in Uganda (www.facebook.com/youcanafrica - we focus on education & enterprise) and the launch date was my Grandfather's birthday - he was known as the 'anonymous donor', so I would like to see how many anonymous donations we can generate in memory of a very respect man. We have three housing projects that we have on the target list for 2025; one is sorted (for Juliet - construction in progress; see link above) and we are now on to Maureen's. I'm raising £5,000 towards this via this campaign. Hope you can donate aonymously! Let's see how this experiment works.
We are partnering with charity I AM who we do construction projects with, for which this our 5th together.
Maureen (pictured in the collage) has the land set aside and some bricks stored. She is the mother of a sponsored child and You Can Africa have invested in her sorghum (porridge) business - when someone needs housing, there is always a social story behind it; sometimes the details are personal (talk to me personally if you'd like to know more). I've met Maureen personally, so this is not a random quest.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
