Maverick's and Mr Pillinger fundraiser for Scottish Adoption

maverick ross is raising money for Scottish Adoption

Walking from Glasgow to Edinburgh · 28 May 2026

Scottish Adoption and Fostering supports children, young people and families across Scotland through adoption, fostering, in-house therapeutic services, group work programmes and our Bluebird Project.

Story

During this half term 27th may, My house parent, Mr Pillinger, and I are aiming to raise as much money as possible for Scottish Adoption and Fostering, by walking from Glasgow to Edinburgh.

This cause has deep personal meaning to me. I was adopted by two wonderful parents who chose to adopt half of their children and have also fostered. Because of them, I have been given incredible opportunities and experiences that many people may never have. I am extremely grateful for everything they have done for me and my family.

I want to use this challenge as a way to give back to the community that has supported so many children and families. Scottish Adoption and Fostering helps parents prepare to care for children who may have experienced trauma, neglect, and other difficult challenges. They work to match children with loving, supportive families where they can feel safe, valued, and cared for.

I truly believe that every child deserves a family that appreciates them, loves them, and invests time and care into their future.

If you’re able to support this cause, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you.
