Hey, I will be skydiving for Give Blood 4 Good! The dive will take place in St Andrews on October 10th.
Scotland’s blood stocks are under increasing pressure. Blood has a short shelf life and demand remains constant across healthcare settings, from being an essential part of care in emergencies and surgeries, to supporting people living with cancer and blood disorders.
Scotland needs around 450 people to give blood every day to meet this demand.
Give Blood 4 Good is on a mission to get as many people to donate blood as possible. Through working with organisations across the country, they aim to improve education and increase participation in blood donation and empower people to continue to give blood as soon as they’re eligible until they’re no longer able.
The charity is breaking down the misconceptions to remove the fear and mystique that can often be associated with the process, so that everyone who needs a blood transfusion can receive one.
