Story
Jumping out of a plane is not something I envisioned myself doing when enrolling at Nottingham Uni! Still, I was blessed to have met a wonderful group of people through the local Salvation Army branch. They have helped the community, including students, in so many ways and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to give back and raise money with them.
I have seen first-hand the inspiring ways in which the hard-working people behind this charity have been helping our communities and can assure you that your money will make a huge difference to a person or family in need. Your donation will go towards fantastic causes such as:
Rescuing and supporting victims of human trafficking;
Providing for families and children in need with essentials such as food, shelter and entertainment;
Creating and sustaining a safe space for local homeless people, affording them frequent meals, shelter and opportunities;
Supporting us university students! Not many are aware of the vast amount of support offered by the Salvation Army to adult students - I'm very lucky to have met these loving people, who work so hard to raise our communities.
Giving a few pounds would go an awful long way for those who need it most. Hitting the £500 target would make a huge difference to so many, so any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
