Story
I’m running the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 as part of Team Marsden for a very personal reason.
My uncle Marco has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has just started his treatment. Like many families, this has been a difficult and uncertain time, but seeing the care, dedication and expertise of the team at The Royal Marsden has already made a huge difference.
This run is for him.
I’m aiming to run a sub 1:23 half marathon, and I’ll be pushing myself every step of the way knowing what I’m doing it for.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money to save the lives of people with cancer. They ensure the hospital’s world-leading nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments that are used across the UK and around the world.
From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research to creating the best possible environments for patients, their work has a real and lasting impact.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean a lot and help support both my uncle and thousands of others facing cancer.
Thank you so much for your support.
