Max's Mad Cycle

London to Paris Cycle · 25 September 2024
I'm Max, a first-year university student, and I have a story to share. At the age of 3, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and now, I'm combining my love for cycling and passion for research to embark on a journey from London to Paris to raise funds for Diabetes UK. For me this is much more than just a cycle ride, it's a journey.
In September 2024, I will be cycling the 320 miles from London to Paris. The ride is spread out over 4 days, returning on the 5th day.
Starting in Croydon, the first day starts bright and early, heading toward Dover where I'll get the ferry across to Calais where I spend the first night. Day two travels through peaceful country lanes and market towns to Arras ending the second day. The third day passes through war memorials including the Somme finishing in Compeigne. The final stint is towards Paris passing the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triomphe and finishing at the Eiffel Tower.
