The Great North Air Ambulance Service keeps families together by saving lives. We provide critical care 365 days a year to the people of the North East, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and the Isle of Man.

Story

Max the Springer Spaniel was such a people person he loved life and helping others he created an amazing online community through meet and greets and our Facebook page.

Max had so many amazing adventures including, attending Buckingham Palace and being awarded the Order of Merit through the PDSA

We’re holding our annual charity walk in Max’s memory on the 10th August and if you would like and feel able to support the team at The Great North Air Ambulance, no matter how small your donation, please help us, it means a great deal this amazing Charity.

We never know when we’ll need emergency life saving care, but The Great North Air Ambulance Service, brings brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene, rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. GNAAS are not NHS-funded.

The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) rescues hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year throughout the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. Their doctor-led critical care teams deliver life-saving treatments at the scene of the incident whether that is on a fell top, a roadside or in a city centre. The charity responded to 2231 call outs in 2023alone, via their helicopter and emergency response Critical Care vehicles, where they performed treatments and procedures which can mean the difference between life or death.
