Story
The Bath Cats & Dogs Home rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes over 700 animals every year. A £5 donation will allow the charity to provide a dog with the food it needs. A £10 donation will ensure expert care for a newborn kitten. A donation of £20 can provide a week's food, warmth, shelter, and comfort to a rescued puppy in dire need of a safe haven.
Please help by making a small donation!
I've volunteered at the Bath Cats & Dogs Home since my first year at the University of Bath in 2023, which has given me a first-hand view of the care that goes into every rescue. In 2024, I saw this impact especially clearly when my flatmates and I rescued an abandoned cocker spaniel called Lily (or Baccy, depending on who you ask) during a trip to the Bath Skyline. We brought her to the Bath Cats & Dogs Home where she was cared for, rehabilitated, and rehomed to an amazing new family, all handled quickly and with real compassion, showing how donations to fundraising campaigns like this one translate directly into expert care.
This will be my final year in Bath and my last year volunteering with the Bath Cats & Dogs Home. This will be my third time running the Bath Half Marathon to raise money for the charity, so I've chosen to mark it by setting my biggest target yet of £2,000. I am also setting my biggest running challenge yet. I will be aiming to beat my 87 min 29 sec PB from 2024, giving me an extra reason to push myself in training and on race day.
Any support would be hugely appreciated. Even a small donation makes a real difference, and if you are not able to donate, sharing this page helps just as much. Every contribution brings the charity one step closer to giving more animals the second chance they deserve.
