Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

This was Norman's second battle with Sepsis.

Unfortunately, the NHS and the general public still find it difficult to spot the early signs.

The earlier it is spotted, the more support can hopefully be given.

Vital support work is needed in the form of Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing Support Group network. The trust also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
