Story
Dear all
We just wanted to send you a huge big thank you for all your support and donations to our fundraising page for Breast Cancer Now. Howard had one very hot run in London on Sunday and completed the course in 4 Hrs 18 minutes!! He was brilliant! He was up and at the gym the next day, I on the other hand was limping around having walked 10 miles to get to see him running!
So far we have raised £4376 for Breast Cancer Now and we can not thank you enough! From all the ladies who came to my charity clay shooting event last month to friends, family and acquaintances, you have all been so very generous!
We hope you are enjoying the wonderful weather with a smile on your face!
Best wishes
Maxine & Howard x

Hey lovely people!
I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. I consider myself so very lucky for catching it early and having access to all the treatments. Being triple positive I have had the full treatment menu of surgery, chemo, Radiotherapy, targeted biological drugs, Bisphosphonates and now Hormone therapy for the next 10 years. It has been a very tough journey so far mentally and physically so I would like to support a charity that helped me through all of it from diagnosis to present day and indeed my future.
When I was told I had breast cancer I would find myself awake in the early hours reading about what having cancer meant for me and what I needed to do each step of the way. Breast Cancer Now was my go to website. They have been brilliant and the forum helped me connect with other people going through this at each stage. I have since trained with this charity as a ‘Moving Forward’ Volunteer to help others and given my background as a PE teacher knew I had to push myself to do a physical challenge to raise some money for Breast Cancer Now.
I applied to run London Marathon next April 2025….crazy considering my state of fitness and health at this time but also knew how much having a physical goal would help me through this year with all the side effects and also getting my fitness back gives me a 30% better chance of this horrid disease not coming back. It was a no brainer! I have a place to run for Breast Cancer Now and am delighted.
The hard work has started and I am up to 3Km running/walking. It is a slow process but I know I will conquer this as I did the cancer.
I have set myself a goal of raising £2500 and would be so grateful of a pound or penny to go towards hitting this goal.
Thanks for taking the time to stop and look!
