We provide practical support to people who look after a family member or friend who is ill, disabled or frail due to age. We work across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Peterborough. We are determined that no unpaid carer should be isolated, struggling alone or reach crisis point.

Story

Being an unpaid carer can be tough – particularly during the festive period. Many of us are thrown into caring roles, which can cause an immense physical and emotional strain on us. It’s hard to adapt to a circumstance you never saw coming.

You can make a difference in a child’s life.

Caring Togethers’ support for children who are carers is under great demand. Children who are carers, sometimes as young as four, often support a sibling or parent with a physical disability or mental ill-health. Young carers can lead lonely and exhausting lives. Between looking after a loved one, and the pressures of school, they often miss out on opportunities to simply be a child.

Caring Together take these young carers on trips and activities, where they can have fun and feel like a child again. Your donations this Christmas could support these essential young carer trips and help a young carer make memories this Christmas.

“These trips are so important. And I think the biggest difference they make is helping to remove that isolation from a young carer’s life.”

Your donation goes further!

For every £2 you donate, Maxine Lester Team will add another £1, up to a maximum £1,000, so please give and help young carers, particularly if you enjoy our Christmas video!
