MU on the Move

We are a movement of over 4 million members across 83 countries. Founded nearly 150 years ago, Mothers’ Union is unique because our members work as volunteers in local communities, putting their faith into action, engaging communities of all faiths and none.

Story

Summer of Hope 2023

During the summer, I am aiming to visit every church in Chelmsford Diocese which has a Mothers' Union branch and leave some "Summer of Hope" pompoms with a prayer which I have made for them. There are 45 churches for me to visit.

This summer, Mothers' Union are focusing on turning Hope into Action, giving us the chance to pray together with hopeful hearts and bring healing to those in need. When someone finds themselves unexpectedly in hospital, when a parent goes to prison, when a baby is born prematurely, you can help Mothers’ Union be there to support them. From hygiene kits to warm hats, a safe place to talk and parenting guidance or a short break away, with your support this summer, we can strengthen our communities worldwide, and transform lives.
