Story
I’m running the Leeds Half Marathon to raise money for Simon on the Streets. This is a local charity (in Leeds & Bradford) that supports homeless and vulnerable people directly on the streets, day and night.
I’ve chosen Simon on the Streets because of how personal and long-term their approach is. They don’t just offer a quick fix, they build relationships and provide ongoing emotional and practical support, staying with people for as long as it takes.
People experiencing homelessness are over nine times more likely to die by suicide than the general population. Simon on the Streets is working to change that by showing up consistently, with kindness and without judgment. They help individuals work towards their own goals, and they do it with real care and respect.
If you’re able to donate (even a little) it would mean a lot to me, and even more to the people this amazing charity helps.
Thank you so much for your support!
