In a moment of madness, myself and a group of 12 school mums have signed up to complete Child.org's Ride Africa challenge: cycling 500km in 5 days across Kenya and Tanzania to raise money for life-saving work in maternal and child health.

As a paediatrician, mum and non-cyclist(!), I'm excited (and slightly terrified) to be able to take part in this amazing event to raise money for this incredible organisation. My individual fundraising target is £2000 and I would be so grateful for your support to help me achieve this amount.

Please note I will be funding my own trip so all money raised will go directly to Child.org.
