Between the 31st of May and the 16th of June, I will be in Ghana volunteering and helping Community Action Ghana to build a toilet block in the village of Wli Afegame and a library in Lolobi.

The library will provide an enhanced learning centre and interactive technology hub to encourage children and their entire families in the community to come together and learn. Education is a key factor in breaking the cycle of poverty, and yet many children in remote communities in Ghana do not have access to basic educational resources. I will also help Community Action Ghana to build a block of 10 toilets including two accessible ones. This will create a clean and sanitary space for all members of the community.
