South West Coast Path

Plymouth & Cornwall Cancer Fund is a local charity which supports local people affected by cancer and the establishments that provide treatment and care. We do this through hardship grants, funding research projects and equipment, training & education, and supporting complimentary staffing posts

In 2024, I lost my brother, Steve, to a rare and aggressive cancer. Two years later, my partner lost his sister, Karen, to another form of cancer. Like so many others, we've experienced the heartbreak that cancer brings, but we've also seen first-hand the incredible support provided by charities such as the Plymouth & Cornwall Cancer Fund.

In June 2026, I decided it was time to stop putting it off and finally take on the challenge of completing the South West Coast Path. I'm tackling it in manageable stages, with no set deadline just one step at a time. The coast and the sea have always been a huge part of my life, and this feels like the perfect way to explore more of the beautiful Devon and Cornwall coastline while challenging myself.

For a while, I wasn't sure which charity I wanted to fundraise for to add more meaning to this adventure. Now I know.

I'll soon be working for Plymouth & Cornwall Cancer Fund, a charity that's incredibly close to my heart. They do vital work supporting people and families affected by cancer across our local communities, and I can't think of a better cause to support.

If you're able to, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will help Plymouth & Cornwall Cancer Fund continue supporting people on their cancer journeys and it will give me that extra motivation as I make my way around the South West Coast Path.

Thank you so much for your support.
