Mayor of Bromley's 60th Anniversary fundraiser for Welcare in Bromley

Mayor of Bromley Cllr Dr David Jefferys is raising money for Welcare

Over three days, the Mayor & Mayoress of Bromley will be walking around the boundaries of the borough, to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of its founding.

At Welcare we work with children and families across South London and East Surrey. We specifically support families affected by domestic violence, mental health challenges, financial hardships and other disadvantages. We respond to individual needs in either one-to-one work or group work programmes.

Story

In celebration of the London Borough of Bromley's 60th Anniversary, the Mayor & Mayoress of Bromley will be walking the entire length of the borough's boundaries over three non-consecutive days this spring - a total of 75km.

As they do this, they are fundraising for three charities which support many Bromley residents and do wonderful work in the community: Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT), Welcare in Bromley & Alzheimer's Research UK.
