Sands is the charity speaking up about pregnancy and baby loss, saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families. Together, we are saving babies’ lives and improving maternity safety and bereavement care through research, training and campaigning.

Story

Please donate or get involved in our fun run/walk at Wicksteed Park on 29th April, in aid of Sands, the baby loss charity.

Sands, the stillbirth & neonatal death charity is the Mayor of Kettering’s chosen charity for the year, and we would love you to join us in our big push to raise as much as we can on this final fundraiser.

The event is a collaboration with Parkrun and will follow the same route - you can register for the Parkrun online at: www.parkrun.org.uk/kettering

1 in 5 pregnancies end in miscarriage and whilst 4/5 of us may not be affected by baby loss, raising awareness of this support service for those that need it is so valuable.  So even if you just share this event and help raise their profile, that’s great too.

Supporters can donate via this JustGiving page or can raise money separately by creating a Facebook fundraiser and sending to: www.facebook.com/MayorOfKettering

HOW SANDS MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.

We depend on the amazing energies of our supporters to raise the vital funds that we need to deliver the wide range of services that we offer. #TeamSands
