Story
Hi everyone,
On Saturday 11th May nearly 350 humans of varying shapes and sizes will descend on the Yorkshire Dales, trekking 26 miles to raise as much money as we can for the breast cancer charity 'Coppafeel!'
Coppafeel are in an incredible charity who raise funds and awareness to create early detection of breast cancer in younger women - and men!
As a dad myself - I know how important it is to educate my kids early - it could literally save their life. If you aren't already aware - finding breast cancer early is usually curable.
My wife, Roisin is living with incurable breast cancer - and is currently thriving. Diagnosed in pregnancy in 2014, at only 32, she has taken part in two of these treks already - one in The French Alps and one in the Scottish Highlands, helping to raise millions for breast cancer. We are so proud of her and her positive outlook.
This time I'm joining her along with Giovanna Fletcher, Pete Wicks, Gemma Atkinson (omg!) and Kelsey Parker, and although I'm slightly nervous about how I'll trek 26 miles, I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and hopefully raising loads of money!
I have a modest target of £250. If you are able to spare even a couple of quid it all adds up and it would mean so much to me to be able to give something back to Coppafeel.
More info about the wonderful Coppafeel charity can be found at www.coppafeel.org
And if you'd like to follow Roisin's story and see how we get on you can do so on Instagram (@roisinppelan)
Send us luck, and thank you everyone,
Michael.
