Story
STOP THE TRAFFIK (STT) works to prevent human trafficking and modern slavery around the world. As the FIFA World Cup 2026 kicks off in North America and millions of people around the world and in host cities enjoy the sport, sadly the number of victims of human trafficking, labour and sexual exploitation will also increase. Demand for services peaks during events such as these, enabling traffickers to smuggle victims in plain sight, anonymously through the crowds.
STT works to gather and analyse signals of exploitation before and during such events, alerting partners and disrupting operations before harm occurs. They train workers in the hospitality industry to identify and report suspicious activity, and invest in intelligence infrastructure to enable prevention.
This summer, as a family we plan to support STT in their efforts by taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing the highest mountains in Wales (Snowdon), England (Scafell Pike) and Scotland (Ben Nevis) in under 24 hours. We'll start around noon at Snowdon on Tuesday, 6th July, do a late evening summit of Scafell Pike, before travelling overnight to Ben Nevis for a very early start on Wednesday, 7th, with the aim of completing (well) before noon.
Any donation you can make would be gratefully received by STT for their important work and help push us to complete this challenge as fast as we can.
Thank you!
