Story
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Great Daffodil Appeal, we’re excited to launch a special Marie Curie Cymru staff and volunteer challenge — our 40 Hour Bikeathon Challenge!
🚴 What’s the Idea?
As a team we will be be taking on a continuous 40 hour static bike challenge, where staff and volunteers can sign up for 30 minute cycling slots (or more!).
Our shared goal: keep the wheels turning for the full 40 hours!
Dates:
• Start: 7pm – Wednesday 22 April
• Finish: 11am – Friday 24 April
This is going to be a big challenge for us all to cover all 40 hours so if you can donate and show your support we would really appreciate it.
Marie Curie provides a better end of life for more people, whatever the illness. We provide vital care and support for people living with any terminal illness across Wales. Our Marie Curie Nurses deliver expert care in people’s homes, day and night, and our hospice services offer specialist support tailored to individual needs.
We’re here for families emotionally as well as practically. Our Information and Support Line offers free, confidential guidance on everything from symptoms to financial concerns. We also provide bereavement support to help people cope with loss, whenever they need it.
Across Wales, we match people with trained Companion volunteers who offer a friendly ear, emotional support, and regular company—helping people feel less alone during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
