We need your kindness and support for a cause very close to our hearts – The Meath School, a special place that has been life-changing for our daughter and granddaughter, Poppy.

The Meath is a specialist school for children with speech and language difficulties, helping them find their voice and be understood in ways that simply wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support they receive there.

Every child at The Meath has unique challenges, and the school provides an environment where they can thrive, grow in confidence, and truly be heard.

The Challenge – 6 Marathons in 6 Days Across the Sahara

To raise funds for The Friends of The Meath Charity, my dad and I are taking on the Marathon des Sables, one of the world’s toughest endurance events. We’ll be running over 250km (six marathons in six days!) across the blistering heat of the Sahara Desert, carrying everything we need – food, equipment, clothes, sleeping bags – as we push ourselves to the limit.

This will be a huge personal and physical challenge, but knowing we are doing it for such an important cause will keep us going when the sand dunes feel endless!

An Historic Moment

At just a few weeks shy of 72, when my dad crosses that final finish line, he will officially overtake Sir Ranulph Fiennes as the 3rd oldest Brit to ever complete the event – a truly remarkable achievement!
