Each year in the UK around 2700 people are diagnosed with mesothelioma, a devastating cancer of the lining of the lung associated with previous asbestos exposure. As a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals who regularly diagnose and treat this condition we can see the benefit of the kind of support offered by Meso UK for our patients. This support can be direct such as financial or emotional as well as indirect through funding of research projects to advance treatment options for this group of patients.

Following on from our triathlon and Shropshire 3 peaks events, we have now challenged ourselves as a team to complete a quarter of a mile for every one of these patients by walking/running/jogging 3 mile loops in the beautiful Staffordshire countryside. We've a big challenge to complete around 675 miles as a team!
