As many of you know, in March this year, my dear friend Juliette lost her life to meningitis.

Juliette was the embodiment of sunshine and fun. She had an incredible ability to pick you up off the floor and get you dancing, with the brightest smile on her face.

During our GCSE years, Juliette and I started our "running journey" after many conversations with one of our teachers, determined that one day we would complete a half marathon together. Although we never quite committed to a training plan and the gym proved far more entertaining, it became something we would belly laugh about as a "can you imagine?" scenario.

When the opportunity arose to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon in 2027, I wasn't sure if it was something I wanted to do without her. But, in Juliette's own words, "you only live once."

Juliette lived more fully and vibrantly in her 18 years than many people do in a lifetime.

In her memory, I will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2027 and raising money for Meningitis Now. If you are able to donate, no matter the amount, I would be so grateful for your support. The funds I raise will help raise awareness of meningitis and support others affected by this devastating disease.
