Story
Countries like Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen have been facing a severe humanitarian crisis, with ongoing conflict, economic challenges, and fragile healthcare systems. The shortage of medical supplies has significantly impacted the ability of medical centres to provide adequate healthcare services to the populations of the respective countries.
Medical items are essential in providing comprehensive care to patients, ensuring both their safety and comfort, and supporting healthcare professionals in their duties. In countries were most people live under the poverty line, basic items such as a needle for a blood test has to be paid by the patients, including cotton syringes etc. They do not benefit from the NHS like us in the UK.
Many people cannot afford even 1 sterilised needle. Likewise, many Doctors do not have access to surgical gowns, sterilised surgical tools etc and the risks following what we see as a routine procedure in UK can be a live threatening intervention over there.
By implementing this project, Human Appeal aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of the populations in Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen by addressing the critical shortage of medical supplies. Moreover, through the collective efforts of donors, organizations, and stakeholders, Human Appeal can support medical centres in these countries and contribute to the provision of quality healthcare services to those in need.
Your support will allow us to make a difference in a life. Medical aid is something that we all have access to - help us in giving our brothers and sisters this same access.
