Story
We’ve been best friends since primary school, after meeting when we were 4 and 5. We bonded early on through cross-country running and always said we’d run a marathon together one day.
This year, we decided to finally do it and for a reason that really matters to us.
We’re fundraising for Headcase, a charity that supports people with glioblastoma, the most common and deadly type of brain tumour. The charity supported one of our closest friends, James. James was someone we loved deeply and who meant a lot to us and many others. We sadly lost him at just 17.
If we can help just one person going through what James did by running this marathon, then it will be worth it.
There is currently no cure for GBM and the average life expectancy is just 14 months after diagnosis, which is why Headcase’s work is so vital.
All of the funds we raise will go directly into research to find a cure.
Any donation is appreciated more than you know. Thank you for supporting us :)
