Shropshire to Snowdonia Trek

We’re leading the fight for a future where all young minds are supported and empowered, whatever the challenges. We’re here to make sure children and young people get the best possible mental health support and have the resilience to overcome life’s difficulties. Join our fight.

Story

On July 27th 2025, Sam, Dan, and Harry—three 16-year-olds from Baschurch, Shropshire—took on a truly epic challenge. They trekked over 80 miles on foot in a week, navigating footpaths and bridleways with all their camping gear on their backs, to the heart of Snowdonia. But the journey didn’t end there—once they arrived, they pushed themselves even further by summiting The Glyders, 1001 metres above sea level.

The boys are keen to support Young Minds, the UK's leading charity championing the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Driven by their experience, YoungMinds creates change so that children and young people can cope with life's adversities, find help when needed and succeed in life.
